Our Story
Welcome to Bask Life.

Hey, I’m Morgan Bridgeford—the crusty creative behind this little surf art venture known as Bask Life. I work with upcycled, ocean-found objects to tell salty stories through sculpture and design.
I cut my teeth as an Art Director at Morrison Media under Graeme Murdoch, sharpening my design chops, and my barrel riding skills at Burleigh Point. From there, I launched my design studio, collaborating with surf and music lifestyle brands like Xavier Rudd, Ash Grunwald, Falls Festival, and Rip Curl. Later, I headed up creative and product design at EMU Australia.
About eight years ago, while loving life with a young family, everything changed. I was hit with Ross River virus, which developed into chronic autoimmune conditions and forced me out of the surf, and out of work. Struggling with this new reality, I started walking the reef at low tide - exploring the crevices, caves, and coves between Bells and Boobs. That’s when I began finding fins, noticing their patina and beauty and the stories behind their loss. I've often wondered what happened to all the missing fins, now I’m part of a global community of fellow fin hunters - locals even give me a heads-up when one goes missing. I found a new obsession and started documenting these finds and my journey through Found-a-Fin. I've now combined my love of the ocean and creating to launch Bask Life. I hope you like it.

Bask Life is a celebration of the raw beauty and surf culture of Victoria’s coast. Inspired by the rhythms of the sea and the wild charm of the shoreline, I transform discarded materials—fins, fishing ropes, buoys, lures, building foam—into one-of-a-kind artworks. Each piece carries a story: of resilience, of ocean energy, of seeing beauty where others see waste.
With Bask Life, it’s not just about art. It’s about sustainability, creativity, and staying connected to the sea—even when you can’t paddle out.
